Chia Seeds

Chia seed is considered one of the healthiest foods due to its high fiber, omega-3, protein, and zinc content. These tiny black seeds are excellent anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory agents. However, chia seeds are also found to have significantly higher calorie intake. One teaspoon of these black seeds has 70 calories.

Quinoa

Quinoa tops the list of foods for a person who is trying to lose weight. However, many people do not know that quinoa is a calorie-rich food item. One cup (about 185 grams) of cooked quinoa contains 222 calories, which is equivalent to about 1 cup of cooked brown rice. 195 grams of cooked brown rice contains 218 calories. These age-old grains are also a rich source of protein, fiber, iron, copper, thiamine, and vitamin B6.

Olive oil

Olive oil is an excellent source of monounsaturated fat, which is good for heart health. Apart from this, it is also rich in omega-6, omega-3, vitamin E, and vitamin K content, which is considered good for brain functioning and manages a healthy weight. However, olive oil is also high in calories and fat. One teaspoon of olive oil has 120 calories and 14 grams of fat.
